Devotional on Zephaniah 3:5 – Trust in the Lord’s Justice
“The Lord within her is righteous; He does no injustice; every morning He shows forth His justice; each dawn He does not fail; but the unjust knows no shame.” – Zephaniah 3:5 (ESV)
As we navigate the complexities of our lives, we often encounter situations that seem unjust. Whether in the world around us or within our personal experiences, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the apparent prevalence of wrongdoing. Yet, the prophetic words of Zephaniah remind us that the Lord is our unwavering source of righteousness and justice.
Zephaniah proclaims that the Lord, residing within His people, is not only righteous but also does no injustice. This assurance invites us to reflect on the nature of God’s character. His righteousness is not arbitrary; it is rooted in His perfect goodness.
