Devotional on 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
For the love of Christ compels us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
In these powerful verses, the Apostle Paul reminds us of the profound impact that Christ’s sacrificial love has on our lives. The love of Christ is not a passive emotion but an active force that propels us toward transformation. Recognizing that Christ died for us compels us to reconsider the way we live our lives.
Living for oneself often leads to emptiness and discontent. Yet, when we choose to live for Christ, we embrace a purpose far greater than our own desires. This calling invites us to align our actions, thoughts, and priorities with His will, reflecting His love to those around us.
As we move through our day, let’s contemplate how we can embody this radical love. Are there areas in your life where you still cling to self-centeredness? Ask God for the strength to let go and to embrace a life that glorifies Him. In doing so, we fulfill the very purpose for which He died and rose again.
Thank You and God Bless
