Psalm 119:90-91 Devotional

Devotional on Psalm 119:90-91“Faithful Through All Generations”

In the ever-changing world we live in, it’s easy to feel uncertain. Cultures shift, values drift, and even the most stable institutions can falter. But in the midst of all this change, Psalm 119:90–91 reminds us of a foundational truth: God is faithful—always, and to every generation.

The psalmist declares that God’s faithfulness is not limited to the past or the present. It stretches from generation to generation. The same God who was faithful to Abraham, Moses, Ruth, and David is the same God who walks with you today. His promises do not expire. His character does not evolve. He is constant, steady, and true.

The passage also reflects on the created order: “You established the earth, and it endures.” Just as the earth continues because of God’s sustaining power, so does every aspect of our lives. The rising sun, the changing seasons, the laws of nature—these daily rhythms remind us that God’s Word upholds everything. Nothing happens outside His knowledge or authority.

Then the psalmist says, “All things serve you.” This is a bold and comforting statement. Even the things we don’t understand—hardship, delay, or loss—somehow fit into God’s greater plan. Everything, seen and unseen, known and unknown, ultimately bows to His will.

In a world that feels unstable, we can rest in the unshakable truth of God’s faithfulness. His Word, His promises, and His love endure. Whether you’re in a season of clarity or confusion, joy or sorrow, He remains the same.

Reflection:
What are you placing your trust in today? Is it something that shifts with the times? Or is it the enduring faithfulness of God?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation. In a world full of change, help me to stand firm in Your Word. Teach me to trust that all things—even the hard things—are under Your control. I choose to serve and rest in You today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank You and God Bless
